Emerging Leaders Chair

Amy Saleh is the Operations Director at Hannover Fairs Australia – a subsidiary of the global
event management company Deutsche Messe. In her current role, she is responsible for the
logistical implementation of each event, and oversees a brilliant team comprising the
company’s Registration, Exhibition, Conference and Administration Managers.

Amy completed a Bachelor of Tourism Management (sub-majoring in Event Management and
Hospitality Operations Management) at Western Sydney University and went on to complete
her Master of Event Management at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), finishing at
the top of her course and earning the Dean’s Merit List Award for Academic Excellence. She
is proudly involved in various programs associated with the UTS Business School’s Event
Management course to this day, including as a guest lecturer and review panel member.

In 2023, Amy became the first Australian to win the Next Generation Leaders Grant presented
by UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. In August of 2023, she was
appointed Chair of the Australian Business Events Association’s inaugural Emerging Leaders
Council, and became a member of the association’s Education Council that November by
direct invitation. Amy’s passion is people, and firmly believes in the idea of leaving whatever
you can – big or small – better than you found it.
