About

Want to know why it’s important to have a sustainability plan for your business, and how to create one? Join the ABEA Sustainability Council for their first series of Sustainability Knowledge Bites, presented by Adelaide Convention Centre’s ESG Manager, Julian Marchant. Julian will walk us through the elements you need to consider when developing your sustainability strategy and action plan, from identifying circles of control to defining business critical ESG topics. This is not to be missed!

Julian’s environmental services career spans over a decade and includes roles across the private, local government and state government sectors.

Much of Julian’s career has involved working with business and communities to embed sustainable practices and create meaningful change. Julian’s mix of strategic and operational experience has provided him with a working knowledge of land management, nature based solutions and climate change. As a sustainability consultant, Julian managed Australian industry decarbonisation plans, regional and local climate resilience strategies and advised some of Australia’s largest companies and NGO’s.

Julian has extensive experience delivering stakeholder engagement and prior to the ESG Manager role at Adelaide Venue Management held roles with:

  • Edge Impact
  • Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula
  • Natural Resources Adelaide & Mount Lofty Ranges
